Dennis Johnson is a former member of the Spirit of Atlanta Drum & Bugle Corps where he marched in the snareline under DCI Hall of Fame member Tom Float during the 1980 season. He was also percussion caption for Southwind Drum & Bugle Corps during the 1981 and 1982 season. His percussion music has been published by Warner Brothers Publishers and his newest books include "Let's Learn to Drum" and "Advanced Rudimental Etudes for Snare Drum". Dennis won the Rudimental Drumming.COM "15 Second Lick Contest" in 2011 and the winning solo can be seen here. Dennis taught band at all levels in the state of Alabama for 27 years and is currently the assistant band director at University School of Nashville in Nashville, Tennessee.
