Steve Ebe is a fixture in Nashville's music scene as one of the town's most prolific drummers.
Born in Joplin, Missouri, Steve started drumming at the age of 9. With a jukebox man for a dad, the early exposure to 45 records sparked an interest in music.
Moving to Memphis as a teenager led to gigs with Carl Perkins (Sun Records), Duck Dunn (Stax Legend), Larry Raspberry & the Highsteppers, Shawn Lane (guitar virtuoso) and more.
Steves partnership with Ross Rice, Kye Kennedy, Steve Arnold and Peter Hyrka, collectively known as the band, Human Radio, produced the hit "Me & Elvis" (Columbia Records). Ebe moved to Nashville when the entire band relocated from Memphis in 1992. A versatile and accomplished player, he easily found work as a sideman for a variety of rock and country acts, including Kim Richey, Sonny Landreth, The Little River Band, The Box Tops (featuring Alex Chilton), Marty Stuart, George Ducas, Tanya Tucker and the Dixie Chicks. In the years since, he has kept busy with session work, having recently played drums on studio recordings by The Lost Trailers, Serabee, The Floating Men, Leticia Wolf, Julian Dawson, Jason Ringenberg (Jason & The Scorchers) and many others. Ebe can frequently be seen playing live with The Long Players, and as a member of other Nashville bands, including Guilty Pleasures, The Floating Men, Twelve Against Nature, Aquavelvet and others.
In addition, Steve is one of Nashvilles best-known drum instructors and averages 40-50 private students per week at Forks Drum Closet.
