Born in Lima, Peru and transplanted to New Jersey at age 11, Dave Chavarri is the founder, producer, and manager of the highly successful Ill Nino. The former drummer of Soulfly, Pro-Pain, M.O.D., Merauder, Laaz Rockit and Gothic Slam crediting him with over 25 years of experience behind the kit. Chavarri has been interviewed by many major metal and Drum publications, in addition to having appeared in several music videos that have aired on MTV, and Fuse TV.

Over the last 10 years, Dave has written with and produced many great bands including: Ill Nino, Exilia, May The Silence Fail, Violent Delight, and many others selling over 2 Million records as a producer, drummer, and writer. Throughout the years Chavarri has co- produced and worked along many multi platinum selling producers such as: Ron Saint Germain (Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Cure, Tool, U2), Jay Baumgardner (Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Korn, P.O.D.) and Bob Marlette (Ozzy Osbourne, Marilyn Manson, Seether, Shinedown, Saliva) just to name a few.

Since their birth, Ill Nino has sold over 1.3 million units Worldwide on all 4 releases, and has performed all over the world with acts Ozzy Osbourne, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Godsmack, System of a Down, Sevendust, P.O.D. and many others. Dave is a one of a new breed of drummers integrating Latin percussion with conventional drum set sonics and is proudly endorsed by Vater Sticks, Zildjian Cymbals, Yamaha Drums, Toca Percussion, Ddrum, and May Miking Systems.
