"Vater sticks have been my only choice of sticks since the first pair I bought in 1990. I've always the found balance and weight of the 5B Wood model to be very consistent. The pure sound I get from bead-to-drumhead contact on the drum is outstanding. And I must add that the weight and feel of both the 5B's and the Splashsticks have never failed to give me exactly what I needed from my cymbals. The sound is nice and full; never too light in heavy situations, and never too heavy in light situations."
